!          Completion of free will

1

To confine Satan and to prove the truthfulness of the commandments, that is, to prove the love and justice of God, means that the free will of angels is not complete. Since angels' free will is not complete, angels have the potential to sin like Satan, therefore God will prove God's love and justice to angels so that no angels would sin like Satan again. If when Satan was cast out of the heaven of angels, the possibility of the angels' sin was completely annihilated, there was no reason for God to prove Satan's iniquity before burning Satan, nor to create humans to prove Satan's iniquity.[1] Had the angels became impossible to sin, no matter how much Satan accused his brothers before God and made false claims against the commandments, it would be useless, and there would have been no reason to reveal God's goodness and Satan's sinfulness to the creation world. The commandments that God established as the principle of the creation world[2] is the manifestation of love.[3]

Regardless of whether the free will of angels is complete or not, God is always just and fair. However, God wants to complete the angels' free will by revealing God's justice to them. If the free will of angels had already been completed and angels had become creatures who would never sin, God would not have created Adam to prove the truthfulness of the commandments, and He would not have taken the cross to express His love and He would not have revealed Satan's vileness to convince His justice to angels. Because such processes would not have been necessary. But God made Adam to prove the truthfulness of the commandments[4], took the cross to prove His love[5], and revealed Satan's vileness to convince the angels of His justice.[6] Therefore, when God confined Satan, I think it is reasonable to assume that the free will of angels had not yet been completed and angels had the potential to sin.

Then, when will the free will of angels be completed? It will be completed when the Son take the cross and make the pre-declared firstfruits, the martyrs[7], come out through the cross[8], so that all the truths God said are proved and angels fully understand how God really is. He made Adam to be the firstfruits[9] that love God even to death.[10] The martyrdom of the firstfruits, who loved God until their death proves the truthfulness of the commandments. In other words, it proves that the love of God who gave the commandments is true.[11] If the time when Satan was cast out to the earth was the time when the Son took the cross, then maybe the free will of angels was completed when he took the cross.[12] Satan, who was cast out to the earth after the firstfruits of God the Holy Spirit came out[13], knew his time was short. It means that the judgment was near and Satan's sins were proved.[14] However, seeing that God does not stop at producing the firstfruits of God the Holy Spirit, but wants to bear even the firstfruits redeemed from among men[15], the free will of angels seems to be completed only after the firstfruits of men come out.[16] God also makes peace with angels by the blood of the cross.[17] All the fruits are borne only through the blood of the cross[18], and angels also have peace with God through the truth, the commandments, the love, which has been proved by the fruits who are borne through the cross.

I am not sure if any of angels in heaven commit crimes even after Satan fraudswarms were confined in Hades. Since their free will remain uncompleted, there is a possibility of corruption, so the non-corrupted angels certainly cannot be completely free from sin, but it is questionable whether there will be any falling angels[19] after seeing Satan fraudswarms running mad in Hades.[20] Even though their free will is not yet complete, these are the ones who once overcame Satan's deceptions.[21] In addition, now, it is in the process of proving whether the commandments of love established in the creation world is indeed the true standard of reign.[22] The proving is on the way right now, but could there be any falling angels in the midst of it? However, seeing that God has not let us humans know this in detail, it seems to be wise not to think deeply about this anymore. One thing is certain: all creatures, whether uncorrupted or corrupted, cannot escape God's control.[23] God began the creation[24] only after knowing every choices of each creature in advance[25], and determining to use these choices of each creature to fulfill His will of annihilating sin completely in the creation world.[26]

2

That angels have the potential to sin means that they will someday do so, unless the possibility of their sin is completely extinguished. If God puts creatures in an environment where it is impossible to sin, it means that God has not granted them free will. As much as the love for God must be true, the temptation of sin will be as intense as well. God gives only the tests we can bear.[27] That means, in other words, that if God does not block a test that we cannot bear, we will surely sin. Therefore, in order to be a creature that never sins, we must not sin no matter what temptation God allows. But the true meaning of these words is that if we love God there are no tests we cannot bear.[28] In the creation world as it is now, the greatest test would be to die for the Creator[29], but because those who love God can overcome it well[30], there is actually no test that those who love God cannot bear.[31] So, in order to never sin, we must love God.

Each creature is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.[32] Since sin comes from evil desire, the greater our evil desire, the more temptations we cannot bear. If there is no evil desire, it doesn't matter which temptation comes. Therefore, in order for a creature to never sin, there must be no desire to depart from God[33], and it can only be fulfilled by knowing the love of God and loving God.[34] For that reason, creatures must know the love of the cross, and only when they know the love of God revealed through the cross[35], they will be able to love God and not sin.[36] That is why God is saying that the blood of the cross makes the creatures at peace with God.

3

God determined to perfect the free will of the creatures through the cross and began creation.[37] Creatures who accept God's love revealed through the cross will love God and keep the commandments.[38] Creatures who reject the love of the cross will hate God and will still do sin.[39] God will save those who love God and judge those who rebel against God.

Helel received much light, but chose to fall.[40] Although it was not as powerful as the light that would appear on the cross, but it would have been enough light to know God's love and to love God and keep the commandments until the LORD Jesus shows His love. Since God did not violate free will, the fall would not have been impossible either. Had Helel chosen to obey God to the end, God would have made him love God with the perfect love revealed on the cross, just as He would do to other unfallen angels. Had Helel been an angel who chose to love God, God would have perfected Helel's love for God with the love of the cross, and He would have perfected him an angel who could never sin and die. Of course, if Helel had been, God would have had to use another angel who would sin, not Helel, to prove His love and justice through the cross. Only when we can choose to commit a sin can our free will become an opportunity for complete choice. Therefore, God also gives the creatures whom He has given free will an opportunity of choice. If no angel would have fallen at the opportunity of choice given before the perfection of free will, God must have used a method other than the cross to perfect the free will of the unperfected angels so that they never sin and die.

Had Helel not sinned, God would have planned and initiated creation of another way to show His love for His creatures. However, God knew that Helel would sin, and in order to prove God's love to creatures, the Son determined that He would come as a human being and would create creatures in Hades, where Satan would be confined.[41] Perhaps, even if Helel did not sin, the Son's plan to come to Hades as a human being to prove God's love may not have changed, but this assumption is meaningless before God, who knows everything and decides to do so, and then begins creation.[42]

If God puts angels in a state in which they can never fall, or in a state in which they cannot but fall, it is not that God gives them free will. If so, there would be no need for the cross where the Father forsakes the Son, where God reveals His love. There is no need for an attempt to obey God to a creature made to obey God, and an attempt to obey God will be useless to a creature made to never obey God. God's grace to show love through the cross is necessary only when God has given free will to each creature so that each can choose to love God or hate God.

We can keep the commandments only when we know God's love and come to love God. Since God's love is fully proved through the cross, we can only keep the commandments when we know the love of the cross.[43] Then, because Satan could not know God's love because he had sinned before God showed His love through the cross, is Satan's sin invalid? It is impossible. If Helel had been the one who would accept the Son and accept the love of God through the cross, he could not have fallen. The Son's sheep hear the Son's voice[44]. The sheep that hear the Son's voice can never perish.[45] If Helel has fallen to the point of being irreversible, it is because he is not the Son's sheep. He was not the one to accept the son. Even if he would have previewed the love of God through the cross, his greed would have made him the same choice and eventually fell.[46] Although the Son actually came into the creation world, he did not accept him, and he became the one who killed the Son on the cross.[47]

Given the reminiscence and speculation of God's character, God must have given Helel ample opportunity to turn back. Had Helel been the Son's sheep to accept the love of the cross, he would not have refused the opportunity and thus would not have fallen. However, he would not turn back even though he knew the love of the cross, so he would have refused the opportunity. Although we do not know the details of the situation Helel faced in the heaven of angels, however, when the Son came to Hades, seeing his evil deeds of rejecting and killing the Son, we can see that he rejects and refuses to accept the love of the cross. God never abandons anyone who accepts the Son.[48] Had he been the one who would accept the Son, the all-knowing God would not have forsaken him[49], and if God had not forsaken him, he would not have rejected grace.[50] Had he not rejected grace[51], he would never have fallen[52], and when the Son came into the the creation world, he would have accepted the Son. However, by rejecting and killing the Son, Helel proved himself not the Son's sheep.

God gives us only the tests we can bear. God planned the cross before the creation of the creation world.[53] Since God had not yet taken the cross, He would have allowed only the tests that the free will of creatures could bear until their free will is perfected through the cross. Hence, Helel would have been given enough light to love God and keep His commandments. Since Helel nevertheless sinned, he made the perfect choice, and God no longer intervenes in the free will that He gave him. Therefore, God uses Satan's choice to perfect the free will of creatures.[54]

The cross is the perfect light that completes free will.[55] There is no greater light that makes creatures love God other than the love of the cross.[56] God will respect the free will of the creature who chooses not to love God even though he knows God's love revealed on the cross and God will make him receive the result.[57]

When we see that even after seeing God's love proved on the cross, none of the fallen angels returned to God, the light of truth given to them in heaven is thought to have been quite powerful. If they did not know and come to realize, there is a possibility that they will repent, but if they have deliberately fallen, they will not repent even if they realize again. The reason why God wants to fully prove God's love to uncorrupted angels through the cross is probably because some of the possibility to sin remains in the uncorrupted angels. Therefore, it is presumed that the light of truth that God shed upon angels before the fall of the angels in heaven, was not perfect enough to complete their free will, but so powerful that it was impossible to turn back after the fall. Therefore, it is wrong to argue that fallen angels should not be condemned because they had fallen before the cross and did not know God's love well enough to keep the commandments. The fallen angels do not return to God even after seeing His love proved on the cross.

Many angels who were in the light chose to follow Helel and fell. Satan, who chose to rebel against God, did not turn back even though the Son came to the creation world, but rather killed his Creator on the cross.[58] Satan's sins were confirmed in the creation world.[59] One might view the point when Satan became irreversible was when Satan corrupted Adam. After Satan corrupted Adam, God cursed Satan, the serpent, and said that he would eat the dust all his life.[60] Here, dust is a creature, human, who is made of dust and granted free will.[61] God cursed the serpent to deceive men all his life, until he is thrown into the lake of fire. There may be a view that the free will given to Satan became irreversible at this time. Or, there may be another view that God revealed Satan's determined free will that he would never repent, through Adam, and officially acknowledged to the creation world that Satan's repentance was impossible, through a curse. It is not that Satan cannot repent because God cursed it, but that God, who respects free will, proclaims through the curse that Satan will never repent. God does not prevent those who wish to repent with their own free will from repentance.

Satan will tempt and persecute those who choose to accept the love of the cross.[62] Those who truly love God will take up the cross along the way of the Son, overcome persecution and temptation, and will be victors.[63] Those who claim to love God but do not really love Him will not be able to overcome Satan's deceptions because they do not take up the cross and do not follow the Son. God will clothe the spiritual body of resurrection to those who have overcome sin even in their soulish body that producing sinful nature.[64] They will never sin again and will never die.[65]

God has demonstrated His love for His creatures.[66] On the cross the Father has forsaken the Son who is His everything[67], for his creatures, and the Son was forsaken by the Father who is His everything[68], for his creatures. Angels saw the love of God proved on the cross and see the way sinners, who seemed to never be able to be restored, wear bodies that produce sinful nature and are attacked by Satan's fierce deception, but hold on to the love of the cross and keep the commandments until death[69]. Angels come to know the beauty of the love of God and the truthfulness of the commandments, and they come to love God fully without any doubts about God. Free will will be filled with love so that all creatures will voluntarily love God, so they will never rebel again. In this way, God will complete the creation of the creation world and fulfill rest.[70]

4

Creatures can never keep God's commandments on their own. In other words, creatures cannot love God and their neighbors on their own. If they could have kept the commandments on their own, independent of God, creatures would not need to receive God's life to sustain their existence, nor would they need to know God's love. If a creature could love God without knowing the love of God, (Assuming that the Creator granted free will as it is now in the creation world as it is now,) such love cannot be the love he/she chooses by his/her free will and he/she cannot be a creature because he/she can be a being who loves on his/her own strength. It means that it is impossible for creatures to love the Creator for themselves without knowing the Creator's love in the current creation world. Therefore, if creatures can keep the commandments on their own, they cannot be joined in love with God. For there would be no need for sins to be forgiven, the Creator would not have to be cut off from each other for His creatures. In other words, it means that the Creator and creatures will not be able to be united[71] with blood.[72] Because God of love determined to establish a loving relationship with creatures and began to create, so this assumption is also meaningless.

In order for creatures to keep the commandments, they must receive the life of God, and that life is transmitted only through the Son's cross.[73] Only through the cross can creatures receive God's life and escape judgment.[74] God determined to perfect the free will of creatures through the cross[75], that is, through the love of the Father who forsook the Son and the love of the Son who was forsaken by the Father. And after that, He created creatures.
