| Rev.12:6 The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that there they may nourish her one thousand two hundred sixty days. Rev.12:14 Two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, so that she might be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. † The two wings of the great eagle seem to symbolize the guidance of God[1], the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud[2], that is, the word of God[3] and God the Holy Spirit.[4] The wilderness is the place where the church is located[5] and the place of temptation[6] where Satan's deceptions are overshadowed.[7] The church that has passed the test is the true church, the bride[8], and the church that has fallen to the test is the false church of Babylon, the prostitute.[9] For 1 time times and a half when the woman, the people of God, is nourished, are 3 times and a half, that is, the 3 years and 6 months, the 42 months, the 1260 days. I think this period refers to the 1st half of the 70th week before the pouring out of the 7 plagues. The reason why these 1260 days cannot be considered the 2nd half of the 70th week when the 7 plagues are pouring out[10], is the serpent fails to kill the woman with water for the 1260 days that the woman is nourished, and the angry dragon, the serpent, go away to make war[11] with the rest of her seed.[12] There are no saints left on the earth any longer in the 2nd half of the 70th week after the firstfruits are resurrected or transformed, so there is no war with the dragon until the LORD Jesus comes even to the earth. There are only the plagues of the 7 golden bowls. Only the wicked who have received the mark of the beast, are on the earth on which the plagues are pouring out. The saints who the dragon tries to attack, are no longer on the earth. Therefore, this 1260 days of the war between the dragon and the true church, would mean the 1st half of the 70th week. Some view the water that the serpent spews like a river to cause her to be carried away by the stream[13], as a political power of the world[14], while others view it as untruth. † Anyone who does not worship the beast in the 1st half of the 70th week, comes to die.[15] In other words, all but the martyr witnesses worship the beast.[16] If someone does not worship the beast, even if he/she is alive until the 1st resurrection[17], he/she is recognized as a martyr witness.[18] When the dead martyr witnesses are resurrected, the living martyr witnesses are transformed.[19] After the 1st half of the 70th week, just before the beginning of the 7 plagues of the great tribulation[20], the LORD Jesus will catch the martyr witnesses into the air.[21] (1st half of the 70th week:mark of the beast→great tribulation→1st resurrection→2nd half of the 70th week:7 golden bowl plagues) There are now only those who worship the beast on the earth.[22] Preaching the gospel is useless because those who worship the beast and receive the mark will never repent.[23] Therefore, there is no reason why the saints who preach the gospel, need to remain on the earth even in the 2nd half of the 70th week.[24] If they were the firstfruits to not worship the beast until the end, the LORD Jesus would have already caught them up into the air at the time of the 7th trumpet. Revelation 13 is the chapter in which the events from the beginning of the 1st half of the 70th week to the climax of the great tribulation just before the 1st resurrction, are recorded. In Revelation 13, the events of the 2nd half of the 70th week are not recorded. In the 2nd half of the 70th week, except during the great trubulation period in the 2nd half of the 70th week, there is no need for the beast to force worship. Because those who remain on the earth, are already worshipers of the beast who received the mark of the beast. (There may be an opinion that the great tribulation will begin 'with' the 1st half of the 70th week, by interpreting 'half' in Dan 9:27 as 'for half'.[25] And there may be an opinion that the great tribulation will begin 'in' the 1st half of the 70th week, by interpreting 'half' in Dan 9:27 as 'in the middle'.) † The 1260 days that the woman is nourished are also a period in which the 2 witnesses, clothed in sackcloth, prophecy[26] and cry out repentance.[27] Therefore, the 1st half of the 70th week is the period for which the true church, symbolized by the woman, is norished away from Satan, and at the same time, it is also the period for which the 144000 firstfruits, symbolized by the 2 witnesses, wage war against Satan.[28] (Then, there may be an opinion that the 2 witnesses are the remnant of the woman fighting the dragon.[29] Some view the remnant of the woman as an army of the resurrected martyr witnesses who come down to the earth with the LORD Jesus.[30]) Rev.13:5 A mouth speaking great things and blasphemy was given to him. Authority to make war for forty-two months was given to him. † The dragon gives power to the beast that comes up from the sea, to speak great things and blasphemy[31], and the sea beast rules the world for 42 months and persecutes the saints.[32] This sea beast is the strengthened Babylon roman papacy.[33] Rev.11:1 A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, "Rise, and measure God's temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it. † This reed like a rod used for measurement is the standard of judgment, the word of God.[34] Those who do not belong to this measure, come to be thrown into judgment. Rev.11:2 Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don't measure it, for it has been given to the gentiles. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months. † Only the saints in the temple are measured. Those who do not pass through the courtyard, the altar of burnt offering and the basin, that is, the cross and the word of purification[35], will be trampled under foot by gentiles, that is, the political power, the beast, for 42 months, that is, the 1st half of the 70th week, the 1260 days, while the 2 witnesses are prophesying.[36] Rev.11:3 I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. † Sackcloth is the garment worn by those who mourn.[37] The 2 witnesses mourn for sins and prophesy repentance for 1260 days which is the 1st half of the 70th week. The 2 witnesses are probably those who ate the little book.[38] This little book is the eternal gospel, the words of ①[39]②[40]③[41], and it is the truth recorded in the book of Revelaton. The 2 witnesses are those who know the truth of the book of Revelation which is written the will of God to be fulfilled in the 70th week.[42] Only those who know God's will to be fulfilled in the 70th week, will be able to prophesy again in the 70th week. Of course, even before that, these are basically people who are free from lies or blemishes.[43] Rev.11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands, standing before the Lord of the earth. † The 2 olive trees and the 2 lampstands here, can be seen in Zechariah 4. God shows Zechariah the golden lampstand in the sanctuary and 2 olive trees beside it.[44] The golden lampstand symbolizes God the Holy Spirit[45], and it also symbolizes the church[46], the gathering of the saints in whom God the Holy Spirit has come. Through God the Holy Spirit and through the saints whom God the Holy Spirit has come upon, the great mountain of destruction that opposes God, will come down.[47] This mountain is the kings, that is, the beasts that take God's people captive[48], and also the mother of prostitutes who rides the beast, babylon the great.[49] † The 2 olive trees symbolize the 2 anointed ones, the 2 witnesses who worship the LORD Jesus, the Lord of the whole creation world.[50] The anointing is received by kings, priests, and prophets.[51] The 2 witnesses seem to represent not only 2 persons, but also royal priests who have received the anointing for the mission of 3 offices[52], that is, all those who are sealed on God's side.[53] Among the 2 witnesses, it seems that the 144000 firstfruits are specifically included.[54] There may also be an opinion that the 2 witnesses of Revelation[55] are the 144000 firstfruits.[56] † God requires 2 or 3 witnesses to confirm something.[57] In view of the 2 witnesses prophesying for 1260 days, for the 1st half of the 70th week, the 2 witnesses recorded in Revelation 11 are probably the word that symbolize the last witnesses who will prove the truthfulness of the commandments and confirm the judgment against Satan fraudswarms.[58] The Father is the Witness[59], the Son is the Witness[60], and God the Holy Spirit is the Witness.[61] Also, the saints who have been given God the Holy Spirit, become the witnesses.[62] We may see the saints chosen to be witnesses through God the Holy Spirit, as the 2 witnesses. Zech.4:9 "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that Yahweh of Hosts has sent me to you. Zech.4:10 Indeed, who despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are the eyes of Yahweh, which run back and forth through the whole earth." Zech.4:11 Then I asked him, "What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?" Zech.4:12 I asked him the second time, "What are these two olive-branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that pour the golden oil out of themselves?" Zech.4:13 He answered me, "Don't you know what these are?" I said, "No, my lord." Zech.4:14 Then he said, "These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth." † John was given a reed like a measuring rod and was commanded to measure the temple of God and those who worship there. The measuring reed was also expressed as a plumb line. For the 42 months when the gentiles trample on the courtyard outside the temple, the 2 witnesses who received the reed like a measuring rod measure those who worship inside the temple of God. This temple of God is not the temple building where the son of destruction sits.[63] Through the eyes of Yahweh, the seven Spirits, who run back and forth through the whole world[64], Zerubbabel laid the foundation of the temple by measuring it with a plumb line. Because of this temple of God[65], Babylon the great mountain will fall.[66] Through God the Holy Spirit who comes even as the latter rain[67], the 2 witnesses will raise those who will offer true worship to God in the temple of God[68], measuring them with the reed. Because of these martyr witnesses[69] who overcome the beast[70], Babylon the great prostitute will fall.[71] Rev.11:5 If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way. Rev.11:6 These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. † Just as God used Elijah to destroy the false prophets[72], and Moses to destroy Egypt[73], the 2 witnesses will also be used to crush Satan fraudswarms. Rev.11:7 When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. † The 2 witnesses who prophesy again by eating the little book[74], that is, the eternal gospel of the 70th week[75], can also be martyred. It is not believed that all of the 2 witnesses will die and then be resurrected regardless of the transformation[76], but among the 2 witnesses, there will certainly be some who are resurrected after their martyrdom. The 2 witnesses are represented by Moses and Elijah, Moses died[77] and Elijah was expressed[78] as ascended into heaven.[79] The 2 witnesses refer to the firstfruits to prophesy for the 1st half of the 70th week. Among the 2 witnesses, there will be some who have lived a life of martyrdom, and there will be others who have been martyred and await the 1st resurrection. The 2 witnesses to prophesy again may include the firstfruits that have been redeemed from among men.[80] If the firstfruits of humans do not appear at the end of the 1st half of the 70th week, but if the 1st half of the 70th week begins almost at the same time as the 144000 firstfruits are produced, it is possible that the 2 witnesses and the firstfruits refer to the same persons. † In Revelation 7, the 4 winds are held until the 144000 are all sealed.[81] This means that when the sealing of the 144000 is finished, the 4 winds will be released. Assuming that the 144000 in Revelation 7 and the 144000 in Revelation 14 are the same people[82], and assuming that the 4 winds in Revelation 7 and the 4 angels in Revelation 9 are the same angels[83], when the sealing of the 144000 firstfruits is completed, the 4 winds are released. Since the 4 winds, the 4 angels, are released at the time of the 6th trumpet, the sounding of the 6th trumpet means that the sealing has already been completed. (The locusts coming after the 5th trumpet is sounded, cannot harm those who are sealed.[84] Therefore, the sealing may have already been completed at the time of the 5th trumpet.) † When the 4 winds blow, the beasts come up.[85] Then, when the 6th trumpet is sounded, when the 4 winds[86], the 4 angels, are released, the beasts will also come up.[87] As the beasts come up from the sea and the earth, the 42 months, that is, the 1260 days, the 1st half of the 70th week, begin.[88] Therefore, after the 6th trumpet is sounded and people1/3 are die, then the 70th week begins. The time when the 6th trumpet is sounded, is the time when the sealing of the 144000 firstfruits is over. Therefore, the 1st half of the 70th week will begin after the sealing of the 144000 is completed. The 2 witnesses prophesy for the 42 months, the 1260 days, when the beast compels people to worship the beast.[89] When the sealing of the 144000 ends, the 1260 days begin, and the 2 witnesses prophesy for those 1260 days. Therefore, it is likely that the sealed 144000 are symbolized by the 2 witnesses prophesying for 1260 days. † To be sealed means to receive God the Holy Spirit.[90] To those who receive God the Holy Spirit who comes as the early rain that causes buds to sprout, God the Holy Spirit also comes even as the latter rain that makes even fruits ripen.[91] Then, the seal that the 144000 received may mean to receive God the Holy Spirit who comes even as the latter rain. The 2 witnesses symbolizing the 144000, eat the little book[92] before prophesying again.[93] Of course, the little book was eaten by John, but at this time, John symbolizes the 2 witnesses to prophesy again. Seeing this, it seems that God the Holy Spirit comes to those who have eaten the little book even as the latter rain, seals them, and makes them prophesy again. This little book is the eternal gospel to be prophesied around the 70th week[94] and may be the book of Revelation in which the prophecies of the 70th week are written.[95] If we do not know the prophecy to be prophesied in the 70th week, how can we prophesy in the 1st half of the 70th week, for the 1260 days? And how would God want to seal with the latter rain to those who will not prophesy for 1260 days? † In the 70th week, near the time when the LORD Jesus comes again, resurrects the martyr witnesses and judges Satan fraudswarms, Satan establishes Babylon again and imposes the mark of the beast in order to prevent the saints from worshiping God.[96] Therefore, while the eternal gospel in the age of law was 'keep the law', the eternal gospel in the age of the 70th week is 'come out of Babylon and do not receive the mark of the beast, and worship only God.' The eternal gospel of the 70th week is written in the book of Revelation. Therefore, I believe that Revelation is the little book to be eaten and prophesied again.[97] This does not mean that we only need to know the truth of Revelation. We must be worthy to receive God the Holy Spirit who comes even as the latter rain.[98] Mal.4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:[KJV] Mal.4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.[KJV] † The great and dreadful day is the day when the LORD Jesus came as an earthen creature[99] and when the LORD Jesus comes again as the King in a resurrected body.[100] (Some view the time when the LORD Jesus came as Adam as a great day, and when He comes again as the King as a dreadful day.) Just as the LORD Jesus sent Elijah when He came as Adam[101], so will He send Elijah when He will come in a resurrected body. The 2 witnesses were symbolized by Moses and Elijah.[102] It was Elijah who shut heaven according to God's command[103], and it was Moses who turned water into blood.[104] Just because Elijah is represented as ascended into heaven, he cannot be the firstfruits of those who are asleep.[105] Elijah is merely a model of the transformation.[106] There was only the blood of animals which is a foreshadowing of the atonement, and there was no real atonement through the blood of the LORD Jesus, so Elijah could not be clothed with a spiritual body[107] and be transformed into life. I think Elijah, like other martyr witnesses, is waiting for the 1st resurrection probably under the altar of burnt offering.[108] † The LORD Jesus met Moses and Elijah on the mount of transfiguration. The 3 disciples saw the transformation of the LORD Jesus, but since the LORD Jesus had not yet taken up the cross, He was not resurrected, so the body the LORD Jesus wore at this time, would not have been a spiritual body of resurrection. If the LORD Jesus put on a resurrected body at this time, the resurrection and the transformation cannot be means to prove the truthfulness of the commnadments. Through the 1st resurrection, the resurrected person is proved that he/she is the one who overcame sin and kept the commandments.[109] However, if the LORD Jesus could be resurrected even before He overcame sin on the cross[110], how can such a resurrection prove the truthfulness of the commandments? Likewise, Moses and Elijah would not have been clothed with a spiritual body. I believe that the LORD Jesus was not actually transformed at this time, but that the glory of the LORD Jesus[111] was 'shown' to the 3 disciples for education.[112] Moses and Elijah also appeared in glory at this time.[113] I don't know how Moses and Elijah came to stand before the LORD Jesus, but Moses and Ellijah would not have been able to be clothed with the spiritual body of resurrection either. The saints are sleeping now.[114] It is hard to believe that God only resurrected these two[115] before He resurrects the saints with the 1st resurrection.[116] However, since God the Father set Moses and Elijah before the LORD Jesus for His purpose, those who stood before the LORD Jesus would actually be Moses and Elijah. † Does that mean that the LORD Jesus called Moses and Elijah? Does this mean that the LORD Jesus lived His life as a creature[117], exercising power not as Adam but as God? I don't mean that.[118] It means that the LORD Jesus did not call Moses and Elijah by using His power as God, but that God the Father set Moses and Elijah before the Last Adam to fulfill His will. Had the LORD Jesus exercised His power even once during His time as Adam, not as Adam but as God the Creator, the LORD Jesus cannot be our example, nor can He command us to keep His commandments.[119] If the LORD Jesus crushed sin with His power as God the Creator, and command us who do not have such power, to overcome sin, what kind of creature would accept that command as proper? † Does this mean that Adam can also call out the ancestors of faith like Moses or Elijah in any form if he/she wants? Do we think that is possible? We know that is impossible. Moses and Elijah are not called by the Last Adam but by God the Father who fulfills His will. Moses and Elijah that God the Father had set up before the LORD Jesus, stood before the LORD Jesus and spoke about the cross that the LORD Jesus was about to take, with the LORD Jesus.[120] God the Father placed Moses and Elijah before the Last Adam to speak about the story of the cross, an event that will only happen once in eternity[121] for we creatures that can exist only in space-time. If God the Father is to show the ancestors of faith before Adam again like this, it must be because of something similar to the crucifixion or more important than that. But there cannot be anything more important to the creatures than the cross where God the Father and God the Son had to be cut off from each other.[122] Is there anything other than the cross that is so important that God has to show Adam the sleeping ancestors of faith? The Last Adam did not call Moses and Elijah, but God the Father called them. If God the Father wants to do it at any time, He can show us the ancestors of faith. But I don't know if there will ever be another event that is so important that God has to do it. (Because the resurrected LORD Jesus inherited His Father's name[123] and is now seated on His Father's throne[124], the LORD Jesus Himself rules the creation world directly.[125] Therefore, perhaps now the LORD Jesus Himself can call out the ancestors of faith. But I don't know if the LORD Jesus will do that. Moses and Elijah are the types of the 2 witnesses[126] who will prepare the way for the LORD Jesus to come again.[127]) † Rather, Satan deceives that Adam can summon the ancestors of faith[128] to destroy Adam[129]. Therefore, Adam's attempt to summon the ancestors of faith on his/her own is necessarily Satan's deception.[130] Even if someone appeared before Adam claiming to be the ancestor of faith[131], there is no possibility that God sent him/her now in this age[132] when the bible[133] is completed.[134] Even in the old testament times, God had never revealed the sleeping ancestor of faith to Adam, how much more would God make the sleeping ancestor of faith appear to Adam now that the bible was completed?[135] If Adam needs a lesson or warning, God will speak through the bible or his/her neighbor saints.[136] What is the reason why God has to wake up the sleeping ancestors of faith and let them do the work?[137] Why would God use the same method that Satan used to deceive Adam and speak to Adam? † Among the 144000 people who are the last firstfruits that will confirm the judgment against Satan, I don't know whether all the firstfruits will be transformed or there will be some who will be martyred by death. If the name of God written on the foreheads of the 144000 firstfruits among humans means sealing[138], those who are sealed will never be harmed[139], so we may think that they will all be transformed without death. However, the meaning of not being harmed here may mean that they will not be harmed as much as they are while carrying out their mission, and that they will be martyred when their mission is over. Among the 2 witnesses, those who are going to be martyred, will not be harmed as long as they carry out their mission. Rather, they devour their enemies.[140] If there are those who are martyred by death among the 144000 firstfruits who were sealed, they will be martyred only after completing their mission.[141] Until then, they are invincible. † From Satan's point of view, the 2 witnesses are a formidable enemy.[142] Until the 42 months are up, there is no way Satan can harm them.[143] The wicked who try to harm the 2 witnesses are all burned to death by the 2 witnesses.[144] In order for the wicked who want to harm the 2 witnesses to survive without dying in front of the 2 witnesses, they have no choice but to kneel down in front of the 2 witnesses and beg for their life.[145] For the wicked, these are calamities themselves.[146] Even if nuclear missiles from all over the world are poured on them all at once, Satan will never be able to kill them. There are 144000 such terrifying enemies.[147] But the 2 witnesses do not exterminate the wicked. The purpose of the 2 witnesses is to prophesy of the eternal gospel to give the wicked an opportunity to repent[148], to protect the saints[149], and to prepare the way for the LORD Jesus.[150] The judgment will be made by the LORD Jesus Himself.[151] † The beast coming up from the abyss kills the 2 witnesses. Since the 2 witnesses have prophesied for 1260 days, the time when the beast coming up from the abyss and kills the 2 witnesses is around the end of the 1st half of the 70th week. However, the beast coming up from the abyss has already come up from the abyss before the 70th week begins[152] and has taken over the world[153], the sea.[154] The 2 witnesses are prophesying in a world dominated by the abyss beast. However, the abyss beast, that is, the scarlet beast[155] or the sea beast, can only kill the 2 witnesses after the 2 witnesses have finished their prophecy for 1260 days.[156] (I see it as meaning that the beast that came up from the abyss before, finally kills the 2 witnesses, not the beast that is coming up from the abyss now, kills the 2 witnesses. It means that the beast does not come up from the abyss only when the 1260 days are over and kill the 2 witnesses right after it comes up from the abyss, but that the beast that came up from the abyss before the 70th week began and already have dominated the world for 42 months will kill the 2 witnesses after the 42 months, that is, 1260 days are over. In John's view, the coming up of the beast from the abyss and the prophecy of the 2 witnesses were all future events. In John's eyes, the beast that will come up from the abyss will slay the 2 witnesses who will be produced.[157] I think this way because I see the beast as a political power that has taken over the world[158] or a fallen angel who has taken over that political power.[159] Or, there may be an opinion that a new beast that has never been there other than the sea beast that has already come up and has taken over the world, will suddenly come up and kill the 2 witnesses about the middle point of the 70th week, that is, after the end of the 1260 days. If so, it seems difficult to see this new beast that comes up from the abyss and kills the 2 witnesses, as a political power. Because the world will already be dominated by the sea beast. Anyway, at the end of the 1260 days, that is, at the end of the 1st half of the 70th week, the beast coming up from the abyss, kills the 2 witnesses.) † At the beginning of the 1st half of the 70th week, the abomination of desolation will stand in the holy place.[160] In other words, the son of destruction, that is, the man of sin, sits in the temple building showing himself that he is God.[161] Then, the great tribulation that has never been seen since the creation of the world, occurs.[162] When the son of destruction sits in the temple building, the great tribulation occurs and the 70th week begins. For the 1st half of the 70th week the 2 witnesses prophesy, and at the end of the 1st half of the 70th week the 2 witnesses die. The 2 witnesses, however, are resurrected after the 3 and a half days.[163] (There may be an opinion that the great tribulation will begin 'with' the 1st half of the 70th week, by interpreting 'half' in Dan 9:27 as 'for half'.[164] And there may be an opinion that the great tribulation will begin 'in' the 1st half of the 70th week, by interpreting 'half' in Dan 9:27 as 'in the middle'.) Rev.11:8 Their dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. † The 2 witnesses are eventually martyred. It is not expected that all the 2 witnesses who eat the little book and prophesy again, will be martyred by death. Because there will be people who will be transformed.[165] Jerusalem is the place where the LORD Jesus was crucified.[166] Therefore, I think that the Jerusalem where the 2 witnesses are martyred here refers to the actual Jerusalem. But Jerusalem, like Sodom and Egypt, is already stained with sin. Just as the saints symbolized by the 2 witnesses fight against Satan fraudswarms all over the world, there will also be saints who fight against Satan fraudswarms in Jerusalem. It seems that there are some who will be martyred among the saints fighting Satan fraudswarms in Jerusalem. And it seems that people around the world will see their death. Although martyrdom will take place all over the world, it seems that Jerusalem where the temple building will be located[167], will be particularly noteworthy. Rev.11:9 From among the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations people will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. Rev.11:10 Those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. Rev.11:11 After the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. Great fear fell on those who saw them. † The 70th week begins when the abomination of desolation stands in the holy place.[168] From the time when the son of destruction sits in the temple building[169] until the time when the 1st resurrection occurs, the saints suffer the great tribulation that has not been since the creation of the world.[170] At the end of the 1st half of the 70th week, the 2 witnesses who have prophesied for the 42 months, die. (There may be an opinion that the great tribulation will begin 'with' the 1st half of the 70th week, by interpreting 'half' in Dan 9:27 as 'for half'.[171] And there may be an opinion that the great tribulation will begin 'in' the 1st half of the 70th week, by interpreting 'half' in Dan 9:27 as 'in the middle'.) † If the beast comes up from the abyss and kills the 2 witnesses by the time when the 2 witnesses finish their prophecy, it would mean that the period of the great tribulation would be only about 3 and a half days, which is unlikely. The beast that kills the 2 witnesses is the prostitute riding the scarlet beast, the son of destruction that has seized the superpower, the sea beast. The sea beast already took over the world 42 months ago and has been steadily smashed by the 2 witnesses for the 42 months.[172] There is a reason why the beast forces rejoice over the death of the 2 witnesses. However, they will soon rot in the 7 plagues[173] and will miss the time when they were smashed by the 2 witnesses. The scarlet beast burns the prostitute after the 7 plagues.[174] *sea beast = scarlet beast + prostitute = superpower + son of destruction *son of destruction = babylon the great = mother of prostitutes and of the abominations = great city that reigns over the kings of the earth = roman papacy † If the beast comes up from the abyss around the end of the 1st half of the 70th week and kills the 2 witnesses who have prophesied until then, it means that the beast had not had control over the whole world for the 1st half of the 70th week. But I think that the beast had had control over the whole world for the 1st half of the 70th week. The 6th trumpet is sounded, the beasts rise[175], and the 7th trumpet is sounded, the 2 witnesses are resurrected.[176] If the reign of the beast begins after the 2 witnesses are resurrected, it means that the 6th trumpet will be sounded after the 7th trumpet is sounded. The 6th trumpet is the 2nd woe[177], and the 7th trumpet is the 3rd woe. Both the beasts and the 2 witnesses are active in the period of the 2nd woe.[178] *6th trumpet = 2nd woe = death of the people1/3 + 42 months reign of the beast = 2 witnesses prophesy for 1260 days *7th trumpet = 3rd woe = 1st resurrection + 7 plagues *whole of the great tribulation = 42 months reign of the beast + (1st resurrection) + 7 plagues + (armageddon war) † The beast that came up from the abyss does not kill the 2 witnesses as soon as it comes up from the abyss.[179] The sea beast had already risen from the abyss at least 42 months ago and had taken over the world.[180] After the son of destruction sits in the temple building, the great tribulation begins, and the beast persecutes the saints for 42 months. There may be views that view the timing of the beginning of the great tribulation and the beginning of the reign of the beast differently. Even if we do not view all of the 42 months of the beast's reign as the great tribulation, there is no period during which the great tribulation can occur other than those 42 months. At the end of the 42 months, the 7th trumpet is sounded, and when the 7th trumpet is sounded, the 1st resurrection occurs and all the saints are lifted up into the air. The mark of the beast666 cannot be imposed on the land without saints.[181] Besides, after the sounding of the 7th trumpet, the wicked will have to rot by the 7 plagues, so there will be no room for the wicked to persecute anyone. † However, if the son of destruction is to sit in the temple building only after the death of the 2 witnesses, [great tribulation ≠ reign of the beast] it means that in reality the great tribulation will last for 3 and a half days, that is, 84 hours, or it could mean that the 3 and a half days between the death and resurrection of the 2 witnesses are not literal 84 hours, or it could mean that the resurrection of the 2 witnesses and the resurrection of the saints around the world do not occur exactly at the same time. But in my opinion, as the 1260 days begin, the son of destruction sits in the temple building and causes the great tribulation. [great tribulation = reign of the beast] One day after 1260 days, the 2 witnesses will die. And they will be resurrected in 84 hours. No matter when the great tribulation begins, the saints will be resurrected or transformed to avoid the 7 plagues. For the saints, the 7 plagues of the great tribulation will be reduced.[182] Rev.11:12 I heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here!" They went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies saw them. † The 2 witnesses will be resurrected and be caught up.[183] This is the time when the 7th trumpet is sounded after the 3 years and 6 months, that is, the '1 time times and a half', have passed.[184] The 3 years and 6 months, the 1st half of the 70th week, are expressed as the 42 months when the beasts persecute the saints[185], and the 1260 days when the 2 witnesses receive power and prophesy. Rev.11:13 In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven. Rev.11:14 The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe comes quickly. Rev.11:15 The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!" † After the martyrdom or resurrection of the 2 witnesses, the 2nd woe, that is, the time of the 6th trumpet, ends, and the time of the 7th angel's trumpet, that is, the 3rd woe, begins. The 7th trumpet, the 3rd woe, is the plagues of the 7 golden bowls. (7th trumpet=3rd woe=7 plagues) God resurrects or transforms the martyr witnesses[186], catches them up into the air in the clouds, and pours out the 7 plagues upon the earth.[187] |

They gnawed their tongues because of the pain, and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They didn't repent of their works.

I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who overcame the beast, and his image, and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. [25] Dan.9:27 He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week(view2:for half of the week) he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and on the wing of abominations [shall come] one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall [wrath] be poured out on the desolate.

[40] Rev.14:8 Another, a second angel, followed, saying, "Babylon the great has fallen, which has made all the nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality."
[41] Rev.14:9 Another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead, or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.
[42] Amos3:7 Surely the Lord Yahweh will do nothing, Unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.
[43] Rev.14:3 They sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth. These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb. In their mouth was found no lie, for they are blameless.

I said, "I have seen, and, behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are on the top of it; and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it."

[57] Deut.19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sins: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be established.

[69] Rev.12:10 I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now is come the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn't love their life, even to death.
[70] Rev.20:4 I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as didn't worship the beast nor his image, and didn't receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived, and reigned with Christ for the thousand years. The rest of the dead didn't live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.

[147] Rev.7:4 I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:
