Affliction of Joseph
Amos6:6 Who drink wine in bowls, And anoint themselves with the best oils; But they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
The affliction of Joseph here is a foreshadowing of a worldwide famine. There will be a global food crisis before the Son comes again in the end times. Since no one can live without food[1], all who are within the dominion of the beast will be tested.[2] Satan will use food to make people his slaves, and those who belong to Satan will receive the mark of the beast666 to get food.[3] In this aspect, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, foreshadows the beast that comes up from the sea[4], Joseph foreshadows the beast that comes up from the earth[5], and the people who become Pharaoh's slaves through Joseph typify the worshipers of the beast who received the mark of the beast666. Just as Joseph made the Egyptians to submit to Pharaoh by forcing them with food, so will the beast that comes up from the earth force people with food to make them worship the beast that comes up from the sea.	We can also view Pharaoh as God the Father and Joseph as God the Son. Joseph buys the Egyptian's money, livestock, land, and body through food and returns them to Pharaoh. The Son also calls the people possessed by Satan through food, the word[6], and makes them submit to the Father with love.[7] Joseph's receiving money, livestock, land, and body from the people symbolizes the Son's receiving money, character, and life from the saints.  The livestock symbolizes the beastly character that remain in the saints, that is, the satanic sinfulness.[8] Just as Joseph received the livestock and distributed the food, when we give the Son our beastly character, the Son transforms us into the image of God through God the Holy Spirit.[9] Those who are made in the image of God eventually offer to the Son the earthly things[10] and even the body of dust. This is the living sacrifice presenting our bodies[11], spiritual service of worship, that is, worship in spirit and truth.[12]  These are the witnesses who prove the truthfulness of the commandments without kneeling to the beast[13] when all worship the beast. Through these witnesses who are fully obedient to the Son, the Son will destroy the Satan fraudswarms and prepare the way for the rest of the creation world. When the Son comes back to judge the criminals, imprisoning Satan in the abyss, and the whole earth is brought into subjection to the Son[14], God will eventually give these witnesses a new earth and a new body.[15] These will be resurrected or transformed with a new body and will inherit the new heaven and the new earth.[16]
Amos8:11 Behold, the days come," says the Lord Yahweh, "That I will send a famine in the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of Yahweh. Amos8:12 They will wander from sea to sea, And from the north even to the east; They will run back and forth to seek the word of Yahweh, And will not find it.
This famine, the affliction of Joseph, has a more serious meaning. It foreshadows that it will be difficult not only to obtain food to save the body[17], but also to obtain food to save the soul.[18] In other words, the closer the 70th week is, the more difficult it will be to hear the word of God, and many souls will die of spiritual starvation.[19] People will wander away from the truth, as the church will become more and more Babylonized and lead the way of apostasy.
Matt.24:3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?" Matt.24:4 Jesus answered them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray. Matt.24:5 For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray.
One of the greatest characteristics of the last days is deception. The only criterion that can distinguish true from false, is the truth. If we do not hear the truth, we cannot discern lies. In a situation where it becomes difficult to distinguish between true and false, powerful deceptions will unfold around the world.
Matt.24:15 "When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 2Thess.2:3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction, 2Thess.2:4 he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God. Rev.13:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names. Rev.13:2 The beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
The 70th week begins when the Babylon prostitute, the son of destruction, sits in the temple building and calls herself God. From this point on, for 42 months, worship of the beast and the mark of the beast666 is enforced. The beast that comes up from the sea is symbolized as the prostitute riding the scarlet beast[20], and its reality is the Babylon papacy which has taken over the superpower. This 42-month period, when the world is ruled by the sea beast, is the period of the great tribulation.
Rev.13:11 I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. Rev.13:12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. Rev.13:13 He performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky on the earth in the sight of men. Rev.13:14 He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given to him to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.
When the Babylon prostitute takes over the whole world, false prophets appear and force the worship of the prostitute. It will be very difficult to hear the truth, because anyone who does not worship the prostitute will be killed. But even in these circumstances, God will give us the 2 witnesses who proclaim the truth as a gift.[21]
Matt.24:21 for then will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be. Matt.24:22 Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened. Matt.24:23 "Then if any man tells you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or, 'There,' don't believe it. Matt.24:24 For there will arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Matt.24:25 "Behold, I have told you beforehand. Matt.24:26 If therefore they tell you, 'Behold, he is in the wilderness,' don't go out; 'Behold, he is in the inner chambers,' don't believe it.
False prophets will force worship of the beast during the great tribulation period when the prostitute beast took over the world. False prophets will deceive people that the prostitute, the son of destruction, is the Christ. They will deceive people with great signs and wonders, and those who do not know the truth will be deceived. False prophets will make fire come down out of heaven to the earth to deceive people. People will be deceived by miracles and worship the beast, some will worship the beast for fear of death, and some will worship the beast to buy food. Those who worship the beast receive the mark of the beast666.  I think the false prophets will deceive people that the son of destruction who sits in the temple building is the Christ. I don't know how other false christs will work.
2Thess.2:9 even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2Thess.2:10 and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn't receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2Thess.2:11 Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie; 2Thess.2:12 that they all might be judged who didn't believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
If God does not allow Satan's deceptions, how can we discern who is obedient to God or who is disobeying God and trampling on his/her neighbors?[22] How can a just judgment be made when the creatures do not even know whether he/she is righteous or wicked?[23] But through Satan's deception, creatures will see what choices and what decisions he/she makes.[24] Creatures who obey God and love God and their neighbors will be separated from those who rebel against God and trample their neighbors.[25]
Gen.47:13 There was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very severe, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. Gen.47:14 Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house. Gen.47:15 When the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph, and said, "Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For our money fails."
More than half of the world's population will die before the beginning of the 70th week or the last 7 years, when the sea beast completely takes over the world. Wars, famines, epidemics, oppression and slaughter kill the earth1/4 people[26], and people continue to die from continuing famine.[27] 1/3 of those still surviving by then are killed again by the 200000000 horsemen.[28] And the sea beast comes to take full control of this world.		The Son commands us to acknowledge money as God's. A person cannot serve two masters[29], nor can he/she eat of the fruit of the tree of life and the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.[30]We cannot keep the commandments while we do not keep the commandments[31], and we cannot love God while we do not love God at the same time.[32]
Gen.47:16 Joseph said, "Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fails." Gen.47:17 They brought their cattle to Joseph, and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for the donkeys: and he fed them with bread in exchange for all their cattle for that year.
The economy has already collapsed long ago due to a global disaster. The normal social system has come to an end due to water shortage, food shortage, energy shortage, and murderous epidemics. Stable security cannot be expected, and looting and crime are rampant. (As the control of the beast becomes stronger, the security will improve.) Private property is almost meaningless. (Of course, the wealth of the beast forces will increase more.[33]) Individual wealth and resources are all managed by the beast. Individual freedom is not recognized. There is only strong control of the beast. The free era is now completely over.		The Son wants to get rid of the heart of the beast in us. He wants to get rid of Satan's heart in us. The heart of the beast is filled with only the things that belong to the earth[34], and it moves only by force according to the principle of the oppression of the weak by the strong regardless of the commandments of love. We cannot become the image of God until we remove the heart of the beast. God says that the heart of the beast can be destroyed only with the word[35], and this is being born in the truth[36] or being born again[37], or being born in God the Holy Spirit.[38]
Gen.47:18 When that year was ended, they came to him the second year, and said to him, "We will not hide from my lord how our money is all spent, and the herds of cattle are my lord's. There is nothing left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands. Gen.47:19 Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants to Pharaoh. Give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land won't be desolate."
Only the sea beast that sell food in the world. The sea beast will sell food only to those who worship it. The earth beast will enforce the mark of the beast666 for the sea beast and make people all over the world enslaved to the sea beast. People will worship the beast and receive its mark in order not to die and to buy food.  Seeing the powerful rulership of the sea beast and the miracles of the earth beast, people may find hope that they will be able to survive. That hope will turn into murderous intent towards the rebels who refuse to worship the beast.		Both the land and the body are dust. When we offer our dust to the Son as a living sacrifice, when our fleshly self is broken, the precious perfume, that is, the fragrance of the spirit, put in our flesh, fills the place. When the Son's flesh was torn, the veil of the temple was also torn[39], and His blood, a fragrant perfume, was poured out on the throne of the most holy place.[40] God wants us to be witnesses who respond to God's love by pouring out each one's perfume after the Son.[41] When the appointed number of witnesses to prove the truthfulness of the commandments are produced, Satan's lies will be exposed and the Son will judge the transgressors under sin.
Gen.47:20 So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh, for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine was severe on them, and the land became Pharaoh's.
For 3 years and 6 months of the last 7 years, the sea beast rules the world. Meanwhile, the beasts and their worshipers kill the rebels. And 3 years and 6 months have passed.  The LORD Jesus catches the martyr witnesses up into the air and punishes the true rebels who disobeyed God the Creator with the 7 plagues. Even after the 7 plagues, the punishment of the lake of fire is still left to them.		When the number of witnesses is completed[42] and the firstfruits who are redeemed from among men are produced[43], the Son will come again to judge the transgressors of the commandments, Satan fraudswarms.[44] The 1st heaven and the 1st earth will be burned[45], and the new heaven and the new earth will be established[46], and the Son will rule over all the earth.[47]
Gen.47:21 As for the people, he moved them to the cities from one end of the border of Egypt even to the other end of it. Gen.47:22 Only he didn't buy the land of the priests, for the priests had a portion from Pharaoh, and ate their portion which Pharaoh gave them. That is why they didn't sell their land.
When Pharaoh means the beast that comes up from the sea and Joseph means the beast that comes up from the earth, the priests can be seen as part of the beast forces that is loyal to Pharaoh and compels people to worship the beast under Pharaoh. If so, they would actually symbolize the powers of the world that enforce the mark of the beast666 through food and military force, or the powers that control them.			When Pharaoh means God, priests will mean foolish criminals who do not obey God, claiming them to be their own what God has given them, for the sake of a moment's enjoyment in this world.[48]

The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars; so that one third of them would be darkened, and the day wouldn't shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.

[28] Rev.9:14 saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, "Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!" The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they would kill one third of mankind.

No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth. These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb. In their mouth was found no lie, for they are blameless.

But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, in which dwells righteousness.
