2 The Second Person in the Trinity

1.      The Second Person in the Trinity

The Son is God the Creator.

John1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Outside the limits of time, the Father is with the Word. The Father is God and the Word is God. The creation world will be through the Son. If the Son were not God, He could not make time. Because time is a creature.[1] The Son will make all creatures, and without Him there will be no creatures.[2]

Creatures change with the flow of time within time.[3] But the Word does not change.[4] It is assumed that ever-existing infinity does not change.[5] If He made time, He upholds infinity as ever-existing beyond time.[6] An imperfect being cannot uphold infinity as ever-existing. If it can be changed, it is not perfect. If He can uphold infinity as ever-existing, He is the One who is perfect. Only God is perfect. Only God upholds infinity as ever-existing. The Son is the perfect and unchanging[7] God the Creator who upholds infinity as ever-existing. It could be said that ever-existing infinity is in God.

John1:14 The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

The LORD Jesus is the Word who is perfect and immutable, existing in the form of God.[8]

John8:58 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM."

Just as the Father is the One who is self-existing, so the Son is the true One who is self-existing.

John10:30 I and the Father are one."

The LORD Jesus is God. The Father and the Son are God who are equal.

John17:5 Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.

The LORD Jesus is glorious with the Father in ever-existing infinity.

John17:24 Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

Before the creation of the creation world, the Son already is existing, and the Father already loves the Son in ever-existing infinity.

Col.1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Col.1:16 For by him were all things created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.

Col.1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

Through and for the Son the creation world was made, and there could never have been a time without the Son.

1Tim.6:15 which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

1Tim.6:16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.

It may be a word of what the LORD Jesus was like before He came as a human being.

Heb.1:2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

Heb.1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

The LORD Jesus is the Creator, the Heir of all things, the brightness of God's glory and the express image of God's person. The LORD Jesus will make, uphold, and sustain all things by the word of His power. The LORD Jesus will come into the creation world as a creature and will sit at the right hand of the Father's throne.

1John5:20 We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

The LORD Jesus is the true God and eternal life.

Ex.3:14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM," and he said, "You shall tell the children of Israel this: "I AM has sent me to you."

   God is the I AM.

Is.43:10 You are my witnesses, says Yahweh, and my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

There is no one who exists in Himself but God. God is the only One who exists in Himself. God the Father is the only One who exists in Himself, God the Son is the only One who exists in Himself, and God the Holy Spirit is the only One who exists in Himself. (Since there is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, there may be a view of God as three Persons and there may be a view of God as three Eloheem. Anyway,) There is no God but God, and God has never been non-existent. God upholds infinity as ever-existing, and He is unchanging in perfection.

John8:54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

The Father glorifies the Son. The Son is God the Son, the only begotten Son of the Father.

Heb.13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The Son is perfect and does not change. The Son upholds infinity as ever-existing. The Son is the source of the existence of creatures.[9] The Father and the Son are ‘Existing Ones’. If the Son were not the Existing One, it would mean that only the Father is 'The Existing One'. If the Father is only the Existing One, then the Son would not be able to always be with the Father in ever-existing infinity, and the Son would not have been equal to the Father. However, the Son is God who is equal to the Father, and He is the 'Existing One' who upholds infinity as ever-existing with the Father.

Heb.7:3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.

Through Melchizedek, God expresses the eternal eternity of the Second Person in the Trinity. Melchizedek represents the Second Person in the Trinity. The meaning of the word Melchizedek has no father or mother, means that there is no time when the Second Person in the Trinity was absent.[10]

Rev.1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

God is always present and is not limited by time. In the past, present, and future, God remains the same. God who was in glory before creation, is now in glory after the great white throne judgment. God is not limited by the time that He has confined His creatures within.

Rev.1:17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me, saying, "Don't be afraid. I am the first and the last,

Rev.1:18 and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

The Second Person in the Trinity came into time to take the cross. But the Second Person in the Trinity upholds infinity as ever-existing. Therefore, it is conjectured that the Second Person in the Trinity may already be at the end of the great white throne judgment now. After ascending to heaven, the Son will be on the true throne within time until the great white throne judgment. But after the great white throne judgment is over and creation is completely finished, the Son will uphold infinity as ever-existing again.[11] However, this is only a mere thought as a creature locked in the limits of changing time. As for the actual existence of God, creatures can only know[12] as much as what God the Creator revealed to creatures.[13]

It is conjectured that even before the beginning of creation, the Second Person in the Trinity may have already completed creation and been in rest in ever-existing infinity beyond time. It means that the creation world which is changing from the imperfection of sin to the perfection of innocence, confined within the limits of time, may not have been created yet and may have already been completed at the same time, from the perspective of ever-existing infinity beyond time. This does not mean that creation world has been with God the Creator from eternity. No being or non-being can be outside God the Creator who upholds infinity as ever-existing. I mean that it may be in the eyes of the Creator who is all of everything.[14] But it is a domain that creatures cannot know. God only knows the reality of ever-existing infinity. Someone might think that 'The Son who became a creature might not uphold infinity as ever-existing as long as He is in time. However, I believe this is an entirely improbable speculation.

I don't know how that's possible, but the Son who upholds infinity as ever-existing and is upholding the creation world, confined Himself to the limits of time. The Son who is upholding the creation world, was forsaken by the Father on the cross and cut off from the Father. Even so, the creation world was being upheld its existence during that time. I do not know how the creation world could have been being upheld, but even while the Son, the Word, was cut off from the Father[15], the Word of the Son that is upholding the creation world[16], was being fulfilled. In time, the Son was once cut off from the Father and lives forever. However, we do not know whether this will be the case even in the eternity outside of time. Time is just a mere creature that is being upheld by the Son.

Rev.22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

It may be conjectured that the Son who came into space-time, might be in the Father who is in ever-existing infinity outside the creation world, even when He is in the creation world. To prove this conjecture to be true, it may first be necessary to explain what it means for the Son to be cut off from the Father on the cross.

Conversely, it may also be conjectured that the Son who has entered into space-time, might not be in ever-existing infinity during the period when He is in the creation world, because the Son is the unchanging Creator and is upholding the creation world. To prove such a conjecture to be true, it would also be necessary to explain the meaning of the Son's immutability and how the Creator who is confining Himself to the creation world, is upholding it.

However, I believe that humans cannot know things that God did not clearly write down in the bible, because He put them outside human understanding. God must not give us the ability to know, nor would He let us know, because we do not need to know. It is enough for human to know only what is necessary for the purpose of the Creator. We are nothing more than dust. Let alone the universe, we do not even know ourselves well. Even if we try to find out the domain of the Creator, would we be able to fully understand? Since God did not clearly record it in the bible, we have no choice but to guess based on experience or knowledge, and it always falls apart.[17] Therefore, I believe that further speculation or questioning is meaningless.

The Son is in the bosom of the Father.

John1:18 No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

The LORD Jesus is in the bosom of the Father.

John3:13 No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

The LORD Jesus is in heaven and came down from heaven, and no one has ascended to heaven except the LORD Jesus. Moses, Elijah who appeared on the Mount of Transfiguration and Enoch are the same. The resurrection of the saints has not yet occurred. The new heaven and new earth have not yet come. Although it has been spiritually accomplished in God the Holy Spirit, it has not yet been historically accomplished within the limits of space-time. The righteous God will not resurrect certain people beforehand, nor will He bring them into the 3rd heaven first. If Moses, Elijah, or Enoch were first resurrected with a body of resurrection that would never die again, then the Son is not the firstfruits of those who are asleep.[18] Therefore, such a thing cannot happen. What the disciples saw on Mt. Transfiguration would be a vision, not a reality.[19]

Matt.18:10 See that you don't despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

To see the face of the Father in heaven does not mean to see God directly. (Those who have the possibility to commit sin cannot see the Father. At the time of the great white throne judgment, there will be no such thing as 'possibility'. We stand before the judgment seat as a creature that will commit sins or stand before the judgment seat as a creature that will reject sin. God the Creator gives each creature the opportunity to choose their own destiny. All creatures will stand before the great white throne after the choices of each creature have been made. Could creatures be able to see the Father when their free will has been perfected and their possibility to sin has been eliminated? Could we be able to see the Father when the Son perfects creatures and completes creation through His cross?[20] Could we be able to see the Father when the Son delivers the kingdom to the Father after the great white throne judgment?[21] But I don't know if creatures will ever be able to see the Father even then. A creature cannot exist until it is called into existence. It means that creatures cannot transcend space-time. If the Father who transcends space-time, reveals Himself in space-time, it may be possible that creatures will be able to see the Father. Anyway, the Son who transcends space-time, reveals Himself in space-time after He made Himself nothing.[22])

Seeing the face of the Father means seeing the name that God has placed on the throne of the creation world. In other words, it means to see the one who takes the authority of that name and acts on it. It will appear as the angel of the Lord who keeps the name of the Father that is on the throne of the Father in heaven of angels, until the Son comes to Hades (Sheol) and inherits the creation world.[23]

When the LORD Jesus comes to Hades, since the name of the Father in heaven is absolutely in the Son who comes as a man[24], the meaning of seeing the face of the Father after the Son has come into the creation world means seeing the Son who inherited the name of the Father and came into Hades. If we see that the Son has not yet inherited the name of the Father before His atonement on the cross[25], then only after the Son has been resurrected and ascended to the throne of the heaven of angels, the meaning of seeing the face of the Father would mean that seeing the Son who has inherited the name. However, even before the Son actually sits on the throne, it is clear that the name of the Father is in the Son.[26] Because the Son is the Heir who will inherit the creation world through His cross, whether creatures acknowledge it or not.[27] The only difference is whether or not that fact has been formally confirmed in the creation world.[28] Even before the cross, the Son is the Heir who has inherited the name of the Father, but the Son will postpone the judgment[29] against the creatures that rebel against the Son in order to complete creation of the creation world until the Son formally confirms that fact to the creation world through His cross.

In any case, since God the Father does not actually reveal Himself to the creation world[30], it is clear that seeing the face of the Father means seeing the One who has been entrusted the name that the Father has placed in the creation world. The One who has been entrusted the name, will do the Father's command which is commanded through that name. Therefore, to see the Father means to see the One who has been entrusted the name and fulfills the Father's command. Does this mean, then, that the Son judges those who despise the little ones? Yes.[31] The Son will make them pay fair prices in the judgment day according to His pre-declared word.[32]

To see the face of the Father may not mean to see the angel of the Lord guarding the throne upon which the Father's name is placed. Then, 'their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven' could mean that the angels directly receive the command of the Father who transcends space-time through the name placed on the true throne. However, after the Son became a creature and sat on the throne of the creation world[33], it is clear that the Son has inherited the name, so we can know that the angels see the face of the Son who inherited the name of the Father in heaven. The angels, the creatures, see God the Creator in person, who put on a resurrected body and sits on the throne in the form of a creature.

Matt.25:31 "But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

Matt.25:32 Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Matt.25:33 He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Matt.25:41 Then he will say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

Matt.25:45 "Then he will answer them, saying, 'Most assuredly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn't do it to one of these least, you didn't do it to me.'

The little one whom the wicked despised, was the Son. The angels sent to the little ones by the Son in the name of the Son, will also testify before the Son against the deeds of the wicked who despised the little ones, and the wicked will bear the sin of despising the Son who came through the little ones.

John20:17 Jesus said to her, "Don't touch me, for I haven't yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers, and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.'"

Since the Son came to Hades in the name of the Father, the work of the angel of the Lord who had been doing the Father's command in Hades in the name of the Father, was passed on to the Son.[34] Of course, angels still work under the name of the Father. It just means that because God Himself came to the creation world[35], there is no need for angels to work in God's name and play God's role in God's place. The throne placed in the heaven of angels still has the name of the Father, that is, authority over the creation world, but the Son came to the creation world and took the authority of the name of the Father. The domain where the angels who came in the name placed on the throne in the heaven of angels, had become the heaven where rule of righteousness was established. Like that, the domain where the LORD Jesus is, even if it is in Hades, becomes the heaven where rule of righteousness is established.

Of course, the heaven established through angels before the Son came, were limited and temporary, and were merely a model of the heaven that the Son would come to fulfill through God the Holy Spirit. The angel who destroyed the Egyptian army did not actually crush Satan's head, but was merely a model of the Son who would crush Satan's head. Only the Son judges against sin.[36] Although the LORD Jesus entered into the creation world through Hades in the name of the Father, the original place where the name of the authority to rule over the creation world is placed, is the throne of the heaven of angels. Therefore, the full authority to rule and judge over the creation world rests on the throne of the heaven of angels.

Even though the Son came in the name of the Father, Satan fraudswarms do not obey the Son. In order for the Son to judge Satan fraudswarms, He must prove that He is worthy to inherit the name of the Father through the cross and ascend to the throne of the heaven of angels. Therefore, even though the Son came in the name of the Father, the inheritance of the name is still limited, and in order to fully inherit the name, He must ascend to the throne of the heaven of angels.

What did it mean when the LORD Jesus said "Do not cling to Me" to Mary who was weeping by the tomb after His resurrection? The Father is not in the creation world. (Of course, the creation world is full of the life of God, and all things are imbued with the divinity of God the Creator.[37] Therefore, His absence here means that the Father is not limited by creatures such as space, time or anything else.[38])

The Son came in the name of the Father. Therefore, everything that the Son does is what the Father does.[39] The Father has committed all judgment to the Son and the Son has proper authority to judge His enemies.[40] However, before the Son judges His enemies, there is something He must prove to the creation world first. He must perfect the free will of creatures through the proof. He must make creatures willing to love God. In other words, He must lead creatures to return each free will to God. Put differently, the Son must complete the creation world that He is upholding within time.

Otherwise, if He judges evildoers immediately, Satan will be annihilated, but the seeds of rebellion remain in creatures. Then someday, the 2nd and 3rd satans will rise again. Also, the Son cannot save the creatures that need to be saved. As a result, the original plan which God wanted to accomplish in the creation world, would not be able to come true. Therefore, it is necessary for God to prove who God is before God judges the evildoers. And God proved it through His cross and will complete creation.

The commandments of God have been proved mostly through His cross. Also, God will reaffirm that proof through the firstfruits who are redeemed from among men. They will follow the Son on the way of the cross to prove the justice of God once again.[41] When they make the enemies footstool of the Son[42], the Son will come again to judge all creatures under sin. Until then, the Son must send God the Holy Spirit to the saints from the right hand of the Father's throne[43], intercede[44], wait and finish this work of judgment.

Therefore, when the Son says that He has not yet ascended to the Father, He means that He has not yet ascended to the true throne to fulfill the judgment. The Son who came in the name of the Father, ascended to heaven and sits on the true throne, and will come again only after God's judgment is proved to be truthful through the firstfruits. Only after the judgment has been accomplished will the Son be with Mary in the New Jerusalem. That is why the LORD Jesus could not yet be with Mary. For He has a work to do for judgment. He must send God the Holy Spirit, intercede, and imprison Satan in the Abyss. Only then will He be with Mary who wants to be with the LORD Jesus, in the New Jerusalem. Therefore, the meaning of the words to Mary not to touch me is to say, ‘Do not try to hold onto Me now, as I will ascend to My Father and come back to judge Satan fraudswarms and then I will be with you.’

When the Son ascends into heaven and sits on the throne, the name of the Father placed on the throne is fully inherited by the Son. The name of the Father which is above every name, is formally inherited to the Son after the cross. The Son will not yet judge the powers of sin until the Son makes His enemies His footstool through the saints who have the firstfruits of the Spirit and the firstfruits redeemed from among men who follow the path of the Son. Through the appointed number of firstfruits, God will open the way to imprison Satan in the Abyss and to burn Satan in the lake of fire.[45] The Son ascends into heaven and is at the right hand of the Father's throne and sends God the Holy Spirit as the early rain and will send God the Holy Spirit as the latter rain to finish this work of judgment.

The sending of God the Holy Spirit in the name of the Son means that the power of the Son who has the name of the Father, is revealed in Hades through God the Holy Spirit who has come upon us. Where the name of the Son is, the rule of the Son is established. Therefore, where God the Holy Spirit who has the name of the Son is present, the forces of darkness that rebel against the Son's rule are cast out.[46]

The name of the Father which is on the true throne was the supreme name before the Son took up the cross and is still supreme after the Son took up the cross. However, creatures could not be sure of God's love and justice before the Son took up the cross. Therefore, creatures had no choice but to have the possibility to sin, so the name of the Father was bound to come to creatures as judgment.

But the Son formally proves God's love and justice through His cross, and after that He inherits the name of the Father. Therefore, the supreme name which was the name of judgment, comes to creatures as the name of love after the Son took up the cross. The free will of creatures is perfected through the cross. After God's love and justice are finally confirmed through the firstfruits[47], creatures will never misunderstand God.[48] Therefore through the cross, salvation and judgment can be made upon creatures. The possibility to sin comes to be annihilated in the creation world.

There is the throne in the heaven of angels, and on the throne God has put His name. This can be known through the temple placed in Hades which is a model of the heaven of angels.[49] God rules over the creation world by the name He has placed on the throne.[50] Before the Son in the Father's bosom[51] comes to Hades in the name of the Father, they were angels who accomplished God's will in Hades in the name of God.[52] God's name is on the throne in the heaven of angels, and the angels carried out the orders given in that name.

The Son has come.[53] Now the Son, not angels, directly carries out the Father's will in the name of the Father.[54] When the angels did God's will in Hades in God's name, God's name was on the true throne. Likewise, when the Son did the Father's will in Hades in the name of the Father, the name of the Father was on the true throne. Although the Son came into Hades in the name of the Father, the throne of the Father which the name of the Father was placed on, was still in the heaven of angels.

After taking His cross, the Son sits at the right hand of the Father's throne.[55] In other words, He sits on the Father's throne where the Father's name is placed.[56] As the Son sends God the Holy Spirit in the name of the Son[57], each of the saints in Hades becomes a temple where God the Holy Spirit dwells in.[58] Even though the saints have received God the Holy Spirit who has the name of the Son[59], the Son sits on the true throne in the heaven of angels. Because the Son who obtained the Father's name sits on the true throne, the name of the Father is still on the true throne. Likewise, although the Son came to Hades in the name of the Father, before the Son took up His cross and ascended to the throne, the name of the Father which is above every name, would still be on the true throne in the heaven of angels.[60]

Only after the Son's victory on the cross did the Son fully confirm in space-time that He inherited the Father's name.[61] Before that, although the Son had the Father's name[62], He did not judge and destroy Hades.[63] It is not because the angels did not obey the Son's command, but because the Son wanted to annihilate the very possibility to sin still remaining in the angels. Before the Son took His cross, the free will of the unfallen angels must have been in imperfect state[64], so the authority the Son had, had to be the authority over those who have the possibility to fall.

Of course, the free will of the angels will not be fully perfected before the firstfruits are resurrected or transformed.[65] But since the cross opens the way for the firstfruits to come out and the proof of God's love and justice is mostly done, there must be a big difference in the heart of the angels worshiping the Son before the crucifixion and after the crucifixion.[66]

The Son will spare in the creation world only creatures that are subject to the Son.[67] Therefore, until the Son takes the cross and makes the firstfruits come out, the Son does not immediately use the authority to judge in the name of the Father He has inherited, and He did not ascend the throne to formally confirm that He is the Heir to the creation world until He took up His cross. In other words, the cross was the means which the Son use to inherit the creation world officially. But the disciples misunderstood that the Son would immediately establish the kingdom of God.[68]

The true throne is above the heights of the clouds of the heaven of angels. Until the Son comes to the creation world and sits on the throne, cherubim must have kept the throne where the name of the Father is placed, keeping no one from approaching the throne.[69] In doing so, the cherubim would have carried out the command that God had given them through the name He had placed on the throne. Now, after the Son took up His cross, the Son sits on the throne, and the throne will be in the New Jerusalem City of the 1000-year kingdom and will come down to the new heavens and new earth together with the New Jerusalem City.

1John1:2 (and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us);

For creatures, the LORD Jesus is the life that upholds the creation world. The Son was not created. The Son is existing in the form of God who upholds infinity as ever-existing.[70] The Son was not created as the Father was not; as the Father is, so the Son is.[71] As the Father exsists, the Son is with the Father in glory[72]; when the Father exists, the Life is with the Father; and when the Father exists, the Word is with the Father.[73]

The Son is not the first created creature, but the 'Existing One' who upholds infinity as ever-existing with the Father, and is the only begotten Son of God the Father.[74] We can know who God is only when we see Him, and God Himself became a creature in order for creatures to know who He is. The Son who is with the Father and hid Himself from the creation world[75], revealed Himself to the creation world.

Heb.1:2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

Heb.1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

The Son revealed Himself in the creation world, becoming the brightness of the Father's glory, becoming the express image of the Father's substance. The Son who is in the same glory as the Father[76], came as a creature and became the brightness of the Father's glory.[77] The Son who is equal to the Father[78] and existing in the form of the Father[79], came as a creature and became the express image of the Father's substance.

In ever-existing infinity in which the Son is upholding together with the Father, I conjecture that the Son is God in the same essence and in the same glory as the Father. If this conjecture is correct, even if the Son tried to reveal His own glory, not the Father's, and His own substance rather than the Father's, creatures could have seen the same God.[80] However, since the Son emptied Himself and chose to become a creature, the Son became the brightness that reveals the Father's glory to the creation world[81], and became the express image[82] that reveals the Father's substance.

However, since the glory that God reveals to the creation world is the love[83] that God gives eternal life[84] to creatures through the cross[85], it would be strange if the roles of the Father and the Son are reversed in the creation world as it is now. In such a creation world as it is now, it seems natural for the Son to submit to the Father and to be forsaken by the Father on the cross. If God had predetermined the cross for the Father to submit to the Son, God would have created a creation world as a structure in which a father obeys his son, and the First Person in the Trinity would have come to the creation world to take the cross.[86] (Or, there may be a view that the Second Person in the Trinity would have come as the Father, not the Son.)

However, the present creation world is a structure in which sons obey their fathers. God is upholding space-time[87], and He accounts it as less than nothing and vanity.[88] We cannot even escape such space-time. Therefore, it would be better for us not to try to forcibly unravel the words about who the Father and the Son are[89], and not to think beyond what we ought to think.[90] No creature dares to find out God the Creator.[91]

In ever-existing infinity, is the Son the substance of the Father or the image of the substance of the Father?
Heb.1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
=When the Son upholds infinity as ever-existing with the Father, is the Son the substance of the Father or the image of the substance of the Father?
premise
We interpret this to mean that the image expresses the substance. In fact, such a discussion may be meaningless because this assumption itself is uncertain. Even so, in order to think about who the Son is in many ways, we still try to think about it.
View1: He is the substance of the Father. View2: He is the image of the substance of the Father.
The meaning that the Son is the image of the substance of the Father, that is, the expression of the substance, is a concept that arose when the Son who is the true God, became a creature. Without creatures, there would be no object for God to reveal Himself, so there would be no need for the word 'image' that reveals the substance to be known, and the Son would be infinite with the Father in the substance of the Father in ever-existing infinity.  Even in ever-existing infinity as well, the Son is the express image of the Father who is the substance, and the brightness of the Father's glory. The Son is the expression, not the substance, the brightness of the glory, not the glory of the Father.
Conclusion
If the LORD Jesus was not equal to the Father in ever-existing infinity, it would not be humility for the Son to become a creature and submit to the Father within the limits of space-time. For, unless the Son is the Most High like the Father[92], the Son must be subject to the Father anyway. When the one[93] who is in a position[94] that is not strange even without submission[95], humbles oneself[96] and submits[97], we can call that lowliness humility.
If the LORD Jesus is not the Creator equal to the Father, but merely an incomparably superior and supreme creature, the cross where God the Father forsook the LORD Jesus cannot be the means to prove the Creator's love. Just because the Creator forsakes another creature in order to save one creature, does not prove the Creator's love. It is just violence against the forsaken creature. It can mean that the Creator determined to love creatures differentially from the beginning of creation and then began to create. (We think only about the creatures that have been given free will.) It means that God creates from the beginning the creatures that will be loved much and those that will be loved less, and that He gives limited love.
The value of an object is determined by the price paid for it. If the Creator cut off one creature to redeem another, the Creator's love for the redeemed creature would be just that much, and the value of the redeemed creature would not exceed the level of the creature used for redemption. If God cut off a creature that loved much for the sake of a creature that loved less, it could not be the means of proving Creator's love for creatures.[98] For the Creator's love to be demonstrated, the Creator must forsake the Creator who is equal to Him and is His everything.
The Son, God the Creator, emptied Himself[99], and became the brightness that shines God's glory[100] and became the image that expresses the substance of God.[101] Creatures that cannot see God, see the glory of God[102] and the image of God[103] only through the Son who became a creature.[104]
Whether the Son who is upholding the creation world, is the substance of the Father or the image of the substance of the Father, there is no change for creatures that the Son is the 'Existing One' and that the Son is God the Creator. The Son is God the Creator that all creatures ought to love and love, to exalt all honor and glory and to worship with all our lives. Therefore, I don't think it is reasonable to forcefully expand the thoughts of a trivial creature that cannot escape even space-time, with the limited reason. Because God says in the bible that the Father is God the Father and the Son is God the Son, the Father is God the Father and the Son is God the Son.

The Son became a creature and entered into the creation world in order to perfect creatures in the likeness of the Son who is the image of God. It is expressed as the Son becoming the Firstborn of all creatures.[105] This means that God predetermined to make creatures resemble the Son who would become a creature and began creation, not that the Son was created.[106] The Son has no beginning and no end.[107] A creature sees God who became a creature and resembles God. Because God Himself sets an example, a creature follows God.

James1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

The meaning that the Father has begotten the Son[108] and that the saints are born again with the word[109] or the saints are begotten through the gospel[110], means that the Son enters into the creation world and becomes the firstfruits who keeps the commandments and perfects the saints who follow the Son as the firstfruits who keep the commandments.[111] This concept arose because the Creator predetermined to become a creature.[112] The process that the Son who is the Word becomes the firstfruits who keeps the commandments[113], and that the saints who receive the Word become the firstfruits who keep the commandments, is expressed as begetting or bringing forth.[114] This is not to imply that the Son did not exist before the Father gave birth to the Son, or that the Son is not upholding infinity as ever-existing with the Father.

Acts13:33 that God has fulfilled the same to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, 'You are my Son. Today I have become your father.'

Acts13:34 "Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: 'I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.'

Acts13:35 Therefore he says also in another psalm, 'You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.'

To say that the LORD Jesus is the only begotten Son means that the LORD Jesus is the only Son of the Father[115] which is different from the meaning of being begotten[116] through the word.[117] The final meaning of the word that the Father has begotten the Son who became a creature through the word, means that the Father resurrected the Son.[118] This word is not the word which means that the LORD Jesus is the only Son who has been with the Father before the foundation of the world.

God the Creator who became a creature, is the only begotten Son. By becoming a creature, God the Creator became the Firstborn of all creatures.[119] Adam cannot become the only begotten, but he/she can resemble the Firstborn. Adam cannot become the only begotten, but he/she can become the adopted. When adam resembles the image of the Firstborn[120], he/she becomes the adopted.

In a narrow sense, only adam can be a son[121], but in a broad sense an angel can also be called a son.[122] The Son is also the Firstborn of all creatures[123], not just adam. This does not mean that the Son is the first created creature.[124] This means that God began to create with the determination to perfect all creatures in the likeness of the Son. It means that God predetermined to perfect creatures as those who love God and neighbors in the likeness of the Son and began to create. The Son became the Firstborn, that is, a creature, so that all creatures might resemble the Son who became a creature.

God does not just command creatures to love others[125], He Himself becomes a creature and shows the example of love.[126] When the sons who are resurrected or transformed come out from among adam as the image of the Firstborn Son is formed in them, the free will of the angels will also be perfected by seeing the love and justice of God demonstrated through them.[127] Therefore, the Son is the Firstborn of all creatures. Adam in whom the image of the Son is formed, is adopted as a son, and confirming God's love and justice proved through the resurrected or transformed sons, the free will of the angels is also perfected. The angels are also perfected into sons who will never sin in the likeness of the Son[128]. That is why the angels were sometimes referred to as the sons of God.[129]

However, angels cannot become heirs of the 1000-year kingdom. Because angels did not take up the cross like adam who followed the way of the LORD Jesus. Without pain there is no glory.[130] The 1000-year kingdom that God will give to the adopted children as an inheritance, is not a world for angels, but a world for the adopted firstfruits who are resurrected or transformed after overcoming their sufferings.[131]

The Son who became the Firstborn[132]: Image of God[133] = Image of Christ[134] = Begotten by the gospel[135] = Born Again by the Word[136] = Overcoming sin = Resurrected or transformed[137] = Marked out to be a son (adoption)[138] = Being the firstfruits[139]

The word that the LORD Jesus is the only begotten Son, the only begotten God, refers to the Son who is the Creator.[140] The word when God says 'Today I have begotten You', refers to the Son who became a creature.[141] To say that the LORD Jesus is the only begotten Son means that He is God who upholds infinity as ever-existing with the Father[142], to say that God has begotten the LORD Jesus means that the Son, the Word, became a creature, overcame sin and rose from the dead.[143] (There may be different views as to whether the Second Person in the Trinity is a Son even in ever-existing infinity.)

Just as the Son who is the Word put on flesh and revealed the image of God through the flesh[144], so when a saint receives the Word, he/she is born of the Word[145], and because of the Word in him/her, he/she who is flesh becomes the word.[146] (It means that he/she becomes a person who has nothing to do with sin[147], and that he/she comes to show the image of God.[148]) Just as the Son who is the Word, put on flesh[149] and overcame sin[150] and rose from the dead[151], so when a saint receives the Word, he/she overcomes sin through the Word within him/her, overcomes death[152], and is adopted through the resurrection or transformation.[153] When the appointed number of adopted children, the firstfruits, are brought forth[154], the truthfulness of the commandments are proved and the way is prepared for the Son[155] to judge the sin of breaking the commandments.[156] Therefore, the creatures suffering under sin wait in eager expectation the revealing of the appointed number[157] of the sons of God.[158]

Rom.1:4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

'Begat[159]' means that God made a creature a son.[160] In other words, it means that God has made a creature overcome sin and death and be resurrected. Since this expression is an expression containing the meaning of 'was not a son, but became a son', the expression 'begat' is an expression that can only be used for the creature and the Creator who became a creature. The expression 'begat' cannot be used for the Son who upholds infinity as ever-existing with the Father as God the Creator.

At least in space-time, God the Son is the Son from the beginning. Since there has never been a time when the Son was not the Son, the expression 'begat' cannot be used for God the Son. The meaning of the 'only begotten' means 'monogenes(only) = monos(alone) + ghinomahee(be)', meaning that only the Son is the only Son of the Father, and the Son is the only One who is in the bosom of the Father.[161] The Second Person in the Trinity who is with the First Person in the Trinity[162], is existing in the form of God.[163] However, since the Second Person in the Trinity became a creature, the expression 'begat' could finally be used for the Second Person in the Trinity. The Word was ‘begotten’ in the flesh, that is, begotten as a creature.[164] We, too, will be 'born again' when we receive the Word.[165] In other words, we will be 'perfected' when we receive the Word.

But Paul is here describing the Son prophesied in the bible.[166] Paul is not here trying to explain that 'only the Creator can be resurrected, so the resurrected LORD Jesus is the Creator'. Here Paul says, [In the bible it was promised that the Messiah would come and be resurrected.[167] And the LORD Jesus was resurrected. Therefore, the LORD Jesus is the promised Messiah who is to come.[168]] It means that the key is not in the 'power' of the resurrection, but in the 'promised' resurrection.

God the Creator came as the Messiah. The Second Person in the Trinity came as the 'Firstborn creature'. At least in space-time, the LORD Jesus is always God the Son. Therefore, this word does not mean that 'the LORD Jesus who was not the Son, became the Son through the resurrection'. This means that 'the LORD Jesus who is always the Son, was confirmed to be the Son through His resurrection'. In other words, it is the resurrection that confirms that the LORD Jesus is the Messiah. This is because in the bible it is prophesied that the Messiah will be resurrected and become the Son of God.[169]

Resurrection itself does not prove that the LORD Jesus is the 'only begotten Creator', but proves that the LORD Jesus is the 'Firstborn' among creatures or the saints are the 'adoptees'. The saints cannot become creators just because they are resurrected or transformed. Although the LORD Jesus was proved to be the prophesied Messiah through His resurrection, if it is adam who receives the forgiveness of sins through the blood of the LORD Jesus and overcomes sins through God the Holy Spirit, then anyone can be resurrected or transformed. And adam who is resurrected or transformed, becomes the adoptee.[170]

Views may differ as to whether the Second Person in the Trinity is the only begotten Son, always even in ever-existing infinity, or only in space-time. Anyway, God the Son, the only begotten Son, became the Firstborn among creatures.[171] The Word became a creature[172], overcame sin and death as a creature, and rose again, showing creatures the way to be born as a son.[173] Therefore, when the expression 'begat' is used for God the Son, it is when God the Son became a creature and kept the commandments and overcame sin. And when the expression 'begat' is used for the saints, it is when the saints overcame sin by following the Son and became the adoptees.

At least in space-time, the Second Person in the Trinity is the only begotten Son of the First Person in the Trinity. A creature cannot be a son by nature. Only the Son is the only begotten One, the only Son of the Father. However, since the Son, the Creator, became a creature to take away sin and complete creation[174], the path to becoming a son was opened to creatures that follow the Son who became a creature.[175] The only begotten Creator predetermined to become the Firstborn and have younger brothers.[176] The Father accepts the younger brothers who became adopted children by following the True Son, as firstborns who have overcome sin.[177]

Creatures that follow the Son become the image of God after the Son.[178] This does not mean that a creature becomes the Creator, but that a creature becomes like the Creator. Adam cannot be a son who is a Creator, but he can be an adoptee resembling the Creator who came as a creature. The True Son, the Creator, and the adoptee, the creature, both cannot be the same in their essence, but the creatures that follow the Creator who became a creature will resemble the image of the Creator that the Creator revealed by becoming a creature.[179] To creatures, this image is God's character, that is, 'love'.[180] In other words, to become like the image of God means to become the one who loves.[181]

Only those who have resurrected or transformed can be recognized as sons[182], and only those without sin overcome death and are resurrected or transformed.[183] When God resurrected or transformed him/her, it means that he/she had no sin, and that he/she was free from sin means that he/she kept all the commandments, that is, the law.[184] Following the Son, the Word who became flesh, expressing the word in the flesh is keeping the commandments. Only those who keep the commandments are resurrected or transformed, and only those who are resurrected or transformed are marked out to be adoptees.[185] The commandments are not burdensome[186], but there is no creature that can keep them by their own power.[187] Only through God the Holy Spirit, a creature can keep the commandments.[188] And since God the Holy Spirit is the truth[189], He comes only to those who have received the forgiveness of sins through the blood of the Son[190] and have received the Word.[191]

In order for the saints to be resurrected or transformed, they must first receive the forgiveness of sins through the blood of the LORD Jesus. It is because only when our sins are forgiven can we receive God the Holy Spirit[192] and overcome death.[193] But since the LORD Jesus does not sin, He does not need forgiveness of sins.[194] In other words, the LORD Jesus is the only being who can be resurrected without being atoned for, even though He put on a cursed body in which the lusts of flesh rise.

It is impossible for adam who put on a cursed body to overcome sin without the power of God the Holy Spirit.[195] Since the free will of the angels, too, has not yet perfected, the angels will not be able to overcome sin if they put on a body with the lusts of flesh. Therefore, if someone wears the flesh in which the lusts of flesh rise and overcomes sin without needing to be redeemed, he/she must be the Word Himself. The 'Word' is God the Creator.[196] Therefore, there may be an opinion that views this verse means 'the LORD Jesus was acknowledged as God the Creator through His resurrection'.

However, even adam who have put on the lust of flesh, if they receive the Word, they can become adoptees by overcoming sin and being resurrected or transformed[197], just as the Son who is the Word, overcame sin and was resurrected even though He put on the lust of flesh. Even if we are not the 'Word' Himself, it means that if we receive the Word, we can be resurrected or transformed.[198] It does not mean that only God the Creator can be resurrected.[199] Moreover, the LORD Jesus did not overcome sin by His own power, but through God the Holy Spirit He overcame sin. That is why the LORD Jesus can be our example.[200]

If the LORD Jesus had overcome sin by His own power, not the help of God the Holy Spirit, the LORD Jesus could not be our example. Because we ourselves do not have the power to overcome sin. Of course, the LORD Jesus was filled with God the Holy Spirit from the beginning[201], but in order for us to receive God the Holy Spirit, we must first be redeemed by the blood of the LORD Jesus.[202] Therefore, I do not see this verse as meaning that 'the resurrection of the Son proves that the Son is God the Creator', but rather that it means 'the Son is resurrected as prophesied in the bible'.[203]

As it is also written in the second psalm, 'You are my Son. Today I have become your father.' "Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: 'I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.' Therefore he says also in another psalm, 'You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.'

[170] Rom.8:23 Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

[171] Col.1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

[172] John1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

[173] 1Cor.4:15 For though you have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet not many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, I became your father through the gospel.

[174] 1John3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

[175] Rom.8:29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

[176] Col.1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

[177] Heb.12:23 to the general assembly and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Rom.9:12 it was said to her, "The elder will serve the younger." Even as it is written, "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

[178] Gal.4:19 My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ is formed in you--

[179] Matt.5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don't even the tax collectors do the same?

[180] 1John4:16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

[181] Rom.13:10 Love doesn't harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.

[182] Rom.8:19 For the creation waits with eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

Rom.8:23 Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

[183] 1Cor.15:54 But when this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

[184] 1John3:4 Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.

[185] Rom.9:25 As he says also in Hosea, "I will call them 'my people,' which were not my people; And her 'beloved,' who was not beloved." "It will be that in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' There they will be called 'sons of the living God.'"

[186] 1John5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

[187] John15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

[188] Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

Rom.8:11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

[189] 1John5:7 It is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

[190] Acts2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

[191] Eph.1:13 in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, -- in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

[192] Rom.8:11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

[193] Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

[194] Heb.4:15 For we don't have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

[195] Rom.7:21 I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present. For I delight in God's law after the inward man, but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?

[196] John1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

[197] Acts20:32 Now, brothers, I entrust you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

[198] 1Pet.1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

[199] Phil.3:21 who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.

[200] 1Pet.2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps, who did not sin, "neither was deceit found in his mouth." Who, when he was reviled, didn't revile back. When he suffered, didn't threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;

[201] Luke1:35 The angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.

[202] Acts2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

[203] Rom.1:2 which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,https://youtu.be/AupisuARmgQ?feature=shared
